Mr Fida Chaudhary started his basic education in his native village of Tatral. He later studied in Chak Beli Khan, went on to study in Lahore and completed his graduation from Punjab University. Thereafter, he continued with his higher studies in the UK and completed his LLB (Hons) from the University of Sussex, followed by his LLM in International Commercial Law from the same University. In 2003, he completed his Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law, London. He qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2004.
Having studied and obtained his basic education from the same isolated village, Mr Chaudhary genuinely realises and appreciates the difficulties, needs and value of a good education for the children of Chountra, because in his opinion a good education is the real key to success in this life and the hereafter.
Based on the hardship he faced in obtaining basic education (leaving for school at 5AM, walking 4KM in the freezing cold to the nearest bus stop and then having to take two busses to the High School), and realising the need for good quality education in the area, he set up a primary school in 2014 with the ultimate objectives of providing university level education under the same roof, so that our children do not have to walk 4KM at 5AM and then catch two busses in the freezing cold in order to benefit from basic education.
Mr Chaudhary also strongly believes that this life is about helping others. Since qualifying as a solicitor, he has provided pro-bono legal assistance and advice to numerous people. Since 2005, he has attended Croydon Mosque and the Islamic Centre on a weekly basis in order to provide free legal advice to the local community.
In addition, he has attended live radio programmes and advised on general legal issues on air. He has also been featured in the national media for his works in assisting the community.
Since 2012, Mr Chaudhary has been making active efforts for the betterment of his native villagers. In order to further his objectives, he set up Pakistan Welfare Association in 2016 so that this association not only benefits the beneficiaries, but also becomes a source of success hereafter for others.
Mr Chaudhary is highly indebted to the excellent team support which he receives in Pakistan, especially that of Colonel Nawaz Sahib and his family who are the real backbone of the project.
